FOR AUTHORS

ASA Style Citations (American Sociological Association)

It is recommended to use EndNote for referencing.

Society Register follows a double-blind review process: manuscripts should normally be between 6,000 and 8,000 words, including all notes, tables, graphics and references.

All manuscripts should be submitted as Microsoft Word documents. Please use a standard font in 12-point, double-spaced, with 1.5-inch margins all around. Submitted papers are usually around 30 manuscript pages in length. This includes (1) title page, (2) abstract, (3) keywords, (4) text, (5) references, (6) tables, and (7) figures. Manuscripts that do not conform to the desired format will be returned to the author for rectification. To insure anonymity during the review process, authors should remove from the manuscript all identifying references, including references to their own past publications.

ARTICLE TYPES:

  • articles (original research articles and case reports)
  • polemics, comments & replies
  • articles by early stage researchers
  • book reviews

      All types of articles in Society Register undergo rigorous peer review, based on initial           screening by editors and subsequent double-blind refereeing by multiple reviewers.

Each paper should contain the following obligatory parts:

(1) Author’s full name and academic title(s);

(2) Author’s full affiliation (including: name of the department, faculty and university,                 address and e-mail address). If the author affiliates him/herself with a business                     organization or institution, please, supply adequate information on the organisation’s           full title and address and e-mail address;

(3) ORCID ID (see https://orcid.org/);

(4) Title of the paper;

(5) An abstract (100-150 words) to disclose the main idea of the paper and your research          results);

(6) Keywords (up to 7 meaningful words/phrases);

(7) Main body of the text;

(8) References in the alphabetical order in ASA Style. References should be clearly cited in      the body of the text, e.g. (Bauman 2006) or (Bauman 2006: 45).
